Return of the belated update

As per usual, my updates have been delayed by faults of my own (mostly can’t-be-arsed-ness), but now that a number of things have happened and targets are close to being met I feel it may just be time for an update.

As you can see from the reviews, a large number of books have been read and one gig has been attended. Beyond that, I’ve done loads of writing and catching up on the second draft of Eroticus and think I may *finally* be coming to the end with potential future ideas.

On the weekend I took a trip down to Worthing to stay with Lauren and her family again. Despite having a nasty cough/chest infection (which feels that it may be fading after 11 days) I/we had fun just watching films and going for a long walk along the seafront. Along with this, we celebrated our 2-year anniversary yesterday and will be going out on Friday to see Poets of the Fall in Camden followed by a meal in Chelmsford on Saturday evening.

In distantly-related news, I launched a new blog earlier called Dull Dole Days which basically documents my days of job hunting in order to help others realise they’re in the same boat as myself. It began as a quick thought in bed that I’ll start keeping a daily diary whilst on the dole (inevitably the word “publication” came into the thought). Instead of this, however, I decided to make it a simple, public blog for the above cause.

I can’t state a frequency of posts on there, but I’m hoping to get about 3-4 a week on there, depending on what happens in my days as a governmental statistic and media target. The About page and first post will tell you the rest though, so get yourself over there and have a looksie.

Otherwise, apart from work at Oxfam and visits to the job centre, very little worth noting has happened.
